Terence F. Daley

Terry Daley, 80, of Braintree, Massachusetts passed away peacefully on May 29, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. Terry was born to Anna and Charles Daley on March 16, 1942, in Dorchester, Massachusetts. After graduating from Dorchester High School in 1960, he served three years in the U.S. Army at Fort Gordon, GA and then graduated from Suffolk University with an accounting degree. During his time at Suffolk, he worked nights at the Post Office to pay for both his studies and to take Linda on dates.

Terry leaves behind a family that meant the world to him, including his wife of fifty-five years Linda (Connolly) Daley; his daughter Kim (Daley) Santos, her spouse Dave Santos, their children Ashley, Nicole, and Kara; his son Mike Daley and his children Ryan and Emma; and his son Bob Daley, spouse Andrea (Marino) Daley, and their children Andrew, Derek, and Robbie. Terry also leaves behind two siblings; Carol Cohoon and Frank Daley, many nieces and nephews and was predeceased by daughter Mary Ann Daley, sister Pat (Daley) Stapleton and brothers Buddy, Kevin, and Vincent Daley.

Terry enjoyed a successful career as a CPA and travelled extensively throughout his career including to Europe and Asia and always enjoyed the many cultures and varied people he met during his travels. Though his work life was fulfilling, it was his love of family and friends and time spent with his wife, children, and grandchildren that provided him true happiness. Family vacations, participating in youth sports, and holiday get-togethers were some of his favorite ways to spend time.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, June 1^st from 5-8PM at McDonald Keohane Funeral Home, 809 Main St. Weymouth MA 02190. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral mass at Saint Gregory’s Church in Dorchester on June 2^nd at 9AM. Burial at Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, an organization he felt very strongly about and one which was instrumental in his care.
