Tammy Marie Bunnell

Tammy Marie Bunnell, 48 of Wareham and formerly of Brockton, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on June 24, 2021, after a lengthy illness.

Tammy was the cherished daughter of George and Donna (Trottier) Bunnell of Wareham. Loving sister of David McEwen and his companion Karen Batting of New Hampshire, Laurie Chaskes of Abington, Karlee Goffrier and her husband Bill of Kansas, Tara Bunnell of Abington, the late Stephen “Michael” Bunnell, and Sheila Bunnell of Taunton. Loving Auntie to Michael Dean, Samantha Dean, Skyla Bunnell, Brendon Bunnell, Joshua Chaskes, Benjamin Chaskes, Lily Noddin, Giavanna Bunnell, and Thomas Dean. A dear friend to Elaine Muscato and Crystal Weidner. Tammy is also survived by her precious bird T.J. and many extended family members. 

Tammy appreciated many simple joys in life, such as time spent with family and friends. She considered herself “Auntie” to a long line of family pets including Charlie, Alf, and Kitty. Tammy would play any game requested by her nieces and nephews, no matter how silly or physically demanding. Tammy was an adventure enthusiast. She enjoyed cross country road trips and visited many US states including the New England states, Tennessee, North Carolina, New York, Washington State, and multiple trips to Kansas. Tammy liked white water rafting, canoeing, and watching the sunrise over Nantasket Beach. Most memorable about Tammy were her keen observations of human behavior. She had great appreciation for the absurd and the humor found in everyday situations. Tammy had an uncanny ability to remember television theme songs, movie quotes, and commercials from the 70’s and 80’s. Tammy also loved vintage comedies and television shows such as Ma and Pa Kettle, Andy Griffith, and Cagney & Lacey. 

Tammy’s accepting and humorous nature gave so much to her family, and she will be greatly missed.
