T. Michael Middleton

T. Michael Middleton has passed away at the age of 77. He was the loving husband of Joan Perkinson Middleton, with whom he shared 48 years of marriage. He was father to Thomas M. Middleton, III of Hingham, MA and Leslie S. Gilvar, of Plano, TX and “Papa” to seven grandchildren. He is survived by his two sisters, Mary Gould of New York and Katherine Brock, of Madison, WI. Mike attended Wooster School in Danbury, CT, and graduated from Yale University in 1956. He received his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School after serving as an officer in the U.S. Navy. Mike founded his investment firm, Middleton & Company in 1984. He was on many boards and committees during his life, including the Mount Pleasant Home, The Children’s Museum, the Boston Security Analyst Society, Mass College of Pharmacy, the South Shore Conservatory of Music, and the Trustees of Reservations. Services will be held on January 7 at 10:30 a.m., at the Hingham Congregational Church, 366 Main Street, Hingham, MA 02043.
