Sylvian E. “Jim” Tench

Tench, Sylvian E. of Boston, died December 30, 2016.

Sylvian affectionately known to most as “Jim”, was a loving father and husband. He had a passion for traveling with family, barbecuing, baking and most of all for people.  His kindness and compassion was endearing to all who encountered him.  Sylvian served diligently as a member of The Kingdom Hall, Dorchester.  He will be remembered for his calm laid back personality and great sense of humor.  Sylvian will be sadly missed but never forgotten. 

Beloved husband of June Tench of Dorchester.  Loving father of Denise Tench-Walker and her husband William of Dorchester, Gerald Tench and his wife Mavola of New Jersey and Jerome Tench and his wife Andrea of Georgia.  Cherished son of the late Selwyn and Amy (Longsworth) Tench.  Caring brother of Ronald Tench Sr. and his wife Phyllis of Dorchester, Rita Robateau and her husband Carlos of Dorchester, Bertram Tench of England, Louis Tench and his wife Pam of Mattapan and the late Frank and Rae Tench.  Devoted Grandpoppy of 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.  Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Saturday, January 14, 2017 from 10:30-11:30 AM Kingdom Hall, 29 Parkman Street, Dorchester, Prior to the Funeral service at 11:30 AM. Cremation will follow.
