Susan V. Tripp

Susan (Vanderbie) Tripp of Hingham, Massachusetts passed away peacefully on May 28, 2024 at the age of 88. Susan was born in Chicago, Illinois on April 11, 1936 to the late Harry and Harriet (Hansen) Vanderbie. Susan grew up in Evanston and Highland Park Illinois. She was predeceased by her siblings Virginia Meyer and Peter Vanderbie.

Susan graduated from Lake Forest Academy – Ferry Hall in 1955 and furthered her education at Mount Vernon College in Washington, D.C., graduating in 1957. Susan worked in Office Administration in Boston and on the South Shore of Boston.
Susan is survived by her daughters, Alison Cundari and Lauren Lee, both residents of Hingham, her beloved grandchildren Marion Cundari of Burlington, Vermont, Olivia Cundari of San Francisco, California, Weston Lee of Hingham, Bradford Lee of Hingham, nieces Barbara Brentano of Brooklyn NY, and Gretchen Meyer of Star, Idaho. Susan was predeceased by her beloved grandson Francis Cundari of Hingham.

As a young woman Susan participated in college theater groups, and later in life she was an active member of The Episcopal Parish of St. John the Evangelist in Hingham, the Hingham Mothers’ Club, and local book clubs. Susan enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, gardening, history, and especially her trips to San Diego, California and Rehoboth Beach, Delaware with her friends and relatives.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life for Susan on June 12, 2024 at 11:00 AM at The Episcopal Parish of St. John the Evangelist in Hingham. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pat Roche Hospice Home, 86 Turkey Hill Lane, Hingham, MA 02043 or to The Episcopal Parish of St. John the Evangelist, 172 Main St. Hingham, MA 02043.
