Susan J. Mills

Mills, Susan J. (Harris) lifelong resident of Hingham, died August 9, 2012 after a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved wife of 29 years to James J. Mills of Hingham. Cherished daughter of Barbara Harris of Hingham and the late Edward Harris. Loving mother of Stephen J. Mills and his wife Amy of Holbrook and Ashley J. Mills of Hingham. Susan also leaves behind her loving companions Bella and Mollie. Susan was a Graduate of Hingham High School class of 1971 and also attended Boston University and Northeastern University. Susan worked as a Real Estate Agent for Jack Conway Real Estate in Hingham for 3 years and earlier on for Blue Cross Blue Shield/ NHIC for several years as a medical billing coordinator. Susan was very a devoted Catholic and enjoyed serving her church community and teaching CCD at St. Paul’s Church. She enjoyed crocheting and traveling to Cape Cod, Foxwoods and Atlantic City with her husband James. Susan had a zest for life and lived her life to the fullest despite her illness, her family was the center of her life and the time she spent with them was precious. She will be missed by all who had the pleasure to have known her. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 3-8 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Paul’s Church, Hingham at 10 AM. Burial in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Hingham. Donations in memory of Susan may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
