Susan Marie (Millar) Galvin

Susan Marie (Millar) Galvin, of Holbrook, died peacefully on Thursday, June 27, 2024, at the South Shore Hospital in Weymouth. She was 70.

Susan was born in Boston on January 3, 1954, and was the daughter of the late Herbert E. and Anne (Featherstone) Millar. She was raised in Cambridge and Allston, attended local schools and graduated from Brighton High School. 

Susan worked for the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority as a collector and customer service agent. She retired in 2008. 

Susan was the beloved wife of Daniel M. Galvin of Holbrook, with whom she shared many loving years of marriage. She was the devoted mother of Donell “Rocky” Norton and his wife Cindy of Brighton and Lee Norton and his wife Angela of Millis. Susan was the loving grandmother of Cameron Norton of Brighton and Ella Norton of Millis. She was the dear sister of the late Herbert E. Millar Jr. and his surviving wife Jeannie of Waltham. Susan is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and dear friends.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Saturday, July 6, 2024, 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. Cremation will follow. Interment is private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent in Susan’s name to the Disabled American Veterans, 24 Beacon St., Ste. 546, Boston, MA 02133.
