Susan E. Curran

Curran, Susan E. of Hingham, Massachusetts passed away unexpectedly on November 22, 2024.

A graduate of Weymouth South High School, Susan attended St. Anselm College in Manchester, New Hampshire. Susan enjoyed a successful career as an executive administrator in the investment management industry. An avid gardener, Susan proudly shared photos of her seasonal landscapes. She was a longtime member of the Scituate Harbor Yacht Club where she and her husband, Michael, spent summer evenings dining in the company of friends. Susan loved the night sky and had a special appreciation for a bright moon on a dark evening. She was a doting aunt who proudly boasted about her three grand-nieces. Her laughter was infectious and will be missed by all who knew her.

Susan is survived by her husband, J. Michael Hughes, of Hingham. Predeceased by her parents, Edward G. Curran, Sr. and Darrylle A. (Donahue) Curran. Loving sister of Lisa Curran Matte and husband Kevin of South Weymouth, Nancy Curran Harrington and husband Neal of Weymouth, and Edward G. Curran, Jr. and husband Leonard R. Lydon of Boston, and the late Daniel D. Curran and his former wife Heather Richards Curran, of Hanover. Cherished aunt of Neal G. Harrington, Jr., Meaghan F. Pettersen, Jack Curran, Joe Curran, Reese Curran, and an extended network of friends and family including three grand-nieces.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Tuesday 12/3/2024 from 10-11 AM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off Route 3A - Bicknell Square). Funeral service will be celebrated immediately following the visiting hours at 11 AM in McDonald Keohane Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Susan may be made to Bay State Community Services, Inc., 1120 Hancock St, Quincy, MA 02169.
