Hanson, Steven H. of South Boston formerly of Rockland, suddenly on July 24, 2005. Son of the late Shirley & Howard Hanson. The devoted and loving Father of Jason Escabi of Barrington, NH and Kimberly, Erik & Emily Hanson all of Lincoln, RI. Loving Brother of Robert Hanson of CA, Ray Hanson and his wife Diane of Hollis, NH and Linda Hanson of Norwood. Loving Uncle of seven nieces and nephews. Dear Grandfather of 2 grandsons. Steven leaves behind his beloved companion Bettyann Woods of Weymouth. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours in the Keohane Funeral Home 785 Hancock St. , WOLLASTON Friday 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hanson Childrens Scolarship Fund, c/o Coventry Credit Union, Railroad Ave, Manville, RI 02838. Burial will be private. Steven was an employee of the M.B.T.A. – Local 589 for 21 years. Steven was born in Boston and grew up in Westwood & Boston he was educated in the Boston School system. He graduated from Dorchester High School class of 1971 and began working for Polaroid as an assembler for many years. He then took a job with the Bird & Sons Roofing of Walpole, before he took the position of Bus driver with the M.B.T.A. Steve has worked for the “T” for 21 years, he was still working for the M.B.T.A. Steve was an avid metal detector and coin collector. Steven also was fond of his cats.
