Steven Edward Colligan

Colligan, Steven Edward of Middleborough, formerly of Weymouth, died April 4, 2023. He was 73.

Born in Quincy, he was the son to the late James and Mary (Newell) Colligan. He was one of ten children. Steven was a graduate of Weymouth High School. After graduation, he enlisted in the Army and was drafted to Vietnam in 1969. Steven returned from his time in the service in 1971 and met the love of his life, Jean, that same year. He worked for the town of Weymouth DPW as a Mechanic Russell Electric as a machinist and later retired. Steven enjoyed his retirement fishing and spending time with Jean. He was a great man and will be missed by all who knew him.

Loving husband to Jean Colligan of 49 years of Middleborough. Father of Chris Donoghue of Holbrook MA, Eric Colligan and wife Polly Colligan of Whitman MA, Ryan Colligan and fiancee Kelly Donovan of Middleborough MA. Also survived by 5 brothers and 3 sister. Also 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Predeceased by Daughter Laurie Jean Davis and Granddaughter Brianna Braden Davis.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Saturday 2-6 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Cremation to follow. Burial at a later date.
