Stephen M. Duffy of Weymouth, passed away peacefully in his sleep April 28, 2023.
Steve grew up in East Milton, later moving to Scituate. He attended Boston College High School, graduating from Boston College before earning his master’s degree in Russian literature from Boston University.
Steve was the owner of Fastsigns in Hanover and was always known for his hard work and attention to detail. His hobbies included gardening and weightlifting.
He is survived by his beloved fiancé Susan W. McSweeney of Weymouth; son Adam G. Duffy and wife Rebecca of Shrewsbury, son Samuel M. Duffy of Boston; his siblings Lavina DeGennaro and the late Steve of Braintree, Brian Duffy and Kathy of Kingston, Moe Duffy and Gail of Quincy, Kate Duffy and David DeSantos of Bryn Mawr, PA.
Steve was also the grandfather to four children he cherished, with whom he had many of his happiest memories: Eamon, Finn & Aoife Duffy and Charlotte Rose McSweeney.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Tuesday 1-3 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home EAST WEYMOUTH at 3 Charles Street (corner of Charles & Middle Street). A funeral service will be celebrated on Tuesday at 3 PM in McDonald Keohane Funeral Home. Cremation will follow.
