Stephen H. Matteson

Stephen H. Matteson of Weymouth, passed away peacefully at home on July 21, 2018.

He was born in Boston, and was a graduate of Brookline High School and Franklin Institute. A jack of all trades, he enjoyed antique cars, water skiing, stock car races where he enjoyed racing at Norwood Arena. He will be dearly missed by all those that knew and loved him. Stephen was a mechanic for many years for the Town of Brookline until his retirement.

Beloved husband of 50 years to  Judy  A. (Colligan) Matteson. Son of the late Diane Heath Matteson. Loving father of  Michele Ward and her husband, Jeffrey of Exeter, NH, and Pamela Abrams of Brookline. Brother to the late Edward Matteson. Grandfather of Amber and her husband, Al, and Ethan, Emma, and Abigail. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, close friends, and also the extended members of the Colligan Family.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Funeral services will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 AM in the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Weymouth.

In addition to flowers, memorial donations may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society Greater New England Chapter, 101A 1st Avenue, Waltham, MA 02451.
