Stephen F. Fitzgerald

Fitzgerald, Stephen F. of Weymouth, moved on to eternal life peacefully surrounded by his loving family on May 19, 2016. Steve was a lifelong resident of Weymouth and attended Weymouth High School. Steve went on to a successful career with General Dynamics, P.A. Landers and retired from MWRA. Nascar, The New England Patriots and The Boston Red Sox were all interests of Steve’s. Family was the cornerstone of his life and he enjoyed his role as “Bampa” to his granddaughters.

Beloved husband of 48 years to Marie (Emanuele) Fitzgerald of Weymouth. Son of the late William and Estheia (Burke) Fitzgerald. Cherished father of Maree Ficociello of Hanson, Kristin Hollander and her husband Jay of Weymouth, Brian Fitzgerald of Quincy and Kevin Fitzgerald and his wife Debbie of Whitman. Loving brother of Tracey Newell. Treasured “Bampa” to Victoria Ficociello and Caitlyn Fitzgerald.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). A funeral service will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10 AM in the funeral home, followed by a burial in Lakeview Cemetery Weymouth.
