Parsons, Stephen Edward, of Quincy, MA, passed away after a brief illness on Friday, July 7, surrounded by his loving family. He was 65 years young.
Beloved husband for 42 years of Lee-Anne Rooney Parsons; father of Amy Parsons of Brooklyn, NY and Laurie Parsons Bailey and Michael Bailey of East Bridgewater, MA; and grandfather of Ella Grace Bailey. Brother of Elaine Faraday of Bridgewater, MA and the late Douglas F. Parsons, Jr. Son of the late Douglas F. Parsons and Ann M. Largey Parsons. He was like a second father to Allen Parsons of Bourne, MA; Michael Parsons of Haymarket, VA; and Mary Parsons of Las Vegas, NV, as well as many other nieces, nephews, close family members and friends.
Stephen was the proud owner and operator of Anchor Marina in Quincy, MA (1988-2004) and recently was an assembler for Advantage Sales and Marketing at Home Depot in Rockland, MA. He graduated from North Quincy High School, class of 1972.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., Quincy. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Joseph’s Church, 550 Washington St., Quincy, MA 02169 on Tuesday at 10 AM. Everyone will gather directly at the church on Tuesday.
Contributions may be made in Stephen’s name to Crystal Lake in Harrison, ME, via The Lakes Environmental Association of Western Maine, Mainelakes.org, or at 230 Main Street, Bridgton, ME, 04009.
To honor Stephen’s legacy, raise a Coors Light to him tonight (no glass!) hug your loved ones tight, and live for today.
