Stephen D. Wadsworth

Wadsy was a well respected member of the towing community and was proud of what he did. He worked for many companies through the years as a tow truck operator and mechanic, which he learned from his father. He could often be found working on cars in his spare time and also was an award winning tow truck rodeo participant.

His greatest pleasure in life was spending time with his family. His five daughters were his greatest treasures, and he was honored to be the Grampa/Papa to seven grandchildren. He will be fondly remembered by all who knew him as a man who would give you the shirt off his back, and always had a kind word for those in need: “Don’t worry. Be happy.”

He is survived by his beloved daughters, Bridget Curro and her husband David of East Bridgewater, Amanda L. Rubins and her husband Christian, of Hanson, Melanie Wadsworth of Braintree, Stephanie Wadsworth of Braintree, Kimberly Smith and her husband Alan of Braintree, and his sister, Suzanne Waters of Braintree. Doting grampa/papa to Caitlyn, Nicholas, Daniel, Jacob, Charles, Christian, and Tessa. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. He now reunites with his parents, Robert and Arlene Wadsworth, his late brother, David Wadsworth, and late sister, Bonnie Jones.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home, South Weymouth, at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). We will meet at the funeral home the following day at 10 AM to begin our procession to Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree, which will be followed by Graveside Services at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations for Wadsy may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
