Stella M. Johnson

Johnson, Stella M. (Carney) of Hull, formerly of Quincy, passed away November 7, 2009. Wife of the late Thure A. Johnson, and loving mother of Robert A. Johnson & his wife Mary and David C. Johnson & his wife Miriam, all of Hull. Cherished “Nana” of David Johnson & his wife Meryl, Mark Johnson, Andrew Johnson &  his wife Maria, Debbie (Johnson) Shields  & her husband Marty, Thure Johnson, Rita Johnson, and Craig Valine.  Also Nana was Great Grandmother of Mark Jr., Sam, Taryn,  Melissa, and Carol Ann. Stella enjoyed working at the Quincy Vo Tech High School cafeteria. She was an avid reader who loved to bake, cook, sew, and crochet gifts for family and friends. She also volunteered at the Anne Scully Senior Center in Hull. Most of all, Stella devoted her life to her family. She loved her role as a mother and a grandmother. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Wednesday 3-7 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. Funeral Service Thursday at 10:30 AM in the funeral home. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Donations in memory of Stella may be made to Hospice Services of MA, 577 Main St., Wareham, MA 02571.
