It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Stanley Lutkiewicz of Bonita Springs, Florida. Stanley passed away on February 11, 2025 surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Jersey City, NJ on February 27th, 1949, he was the son of Stanley and Anna Lutkiewicz (Sramowicz). Stan graduated from Brick Township High School in 1967. This is where he met the love of his life and future wife Carol. He became an apprentice of offset printing after graduation which led to his entrepreneurial journey and the opening of Budget Print Center of Brick, NJ.
Throughout his years in Brick Township, Stanley was a prominent member of the community. You could find him volunteering his time on several local committees, township development and planning boards, and on the fields as a Brick Youth Football coach and mentor to many young athletes.
Stan and Carol, high school sweethearts, were married in 1971. Together they created, raised, and cherished their family (Stanley and Kahra) while residing in Brick, NJ.
Stan had a love for adventure and travel. Whether it be by motorhome, boat, airplane, skis (snow and water), or car, he wanted his family to enjoy all aspects of nature and the wonders life had to offer. As a family, we hiked mountains, fished the oceans north and south, skied the Northeast and west on water and snow, snorkeled, swam, and searched for treasures. We shared all of these adventures while laughing, smiling, and creating memories to be shared for years to come.
Stan enjoyed boating and golfing especially during his retirement years in Bonita Springs, FL. To many he was Captain Stan, and there was no better captain than him. He instilled such a love for boating and golfing to his entire family. Watching his family, especially his granddaughters, enjoy life on the water and the golf course made him so happy.
He had a fascination with space exploration from the first orbit in the 1960’s to the latest Space X program. Stan would often inform his granddaughters of the next celestial phenomenon that was on the horizon and star gaze with them. He loved aviation and all things Top Gun.
Stanley was a ferocious sports lover. Not only did he love playing all types of sports, he was great at any sport he played - racquetball, basketball, tennis, football, baseball, golf, and the list goes on. Any game he played, he excelled at. As he grew older, his competitive spirit stayed alive in teaching his granddaughters the art of playing cards, especially Phase 10, Hand and Foot, and Kings in the Corner. He also loved to build legos, all shapes and sizes, from Disney castles to rocket ships. He loved constructing them with his granddaughters and putting them on display. He loved teaching them strategy, logic, and stoking their competitive spirits, and he has taught them well.
Most of all, Stan loved spending time with his wife, children, and granddaughters who were the light of his life. His unwavering devotion created an everlasting bond of love with them all.
To know him was to love him. Stanley will long be remembered for his kind and loving heart, his unwavering support, his strength and ambition to always put family first, his courage to live for those he loved, his infectious smile and laughter, and his zest for life. Whether it be his devotion to his wife Carol, being a rock of support and guiding light for his children Stanley and Kahra, or cherishing his granddaughters Lili, Lexi, Izzy and Cici; he loved fiercely and gave us every grain of his being. We will all forever cherish the gifts of family and love he gave us.
Stanley is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 53 years Carol of Bonita Springs, FL, son Stanley Lutkiewicz and his wife Jennifer of Howell, NJ, daughter Kahra Lencki and her husband Jim of Marshfield, MA, as well as his four beloved granddaughters Liliana, Alexa, Isabella and Caleesi.
Although you’re no longer with us, your spirit lives on in the laughter, love, and cherished memories we hold dear. Your legacy is a testament to the incredible husband, dad, and Grampy you are. You will always be a part of us and your memory will live on in our hearts.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, February 18, 2025, 4-7 pm at Colonial Funeral Home, Brick, NJ.
