Lopata, Stanley L. “Stachu” of Quincy, February 25, 2003. Beloved father of Stanley L. of FL, Frances M. Lothrop of Quincy, Robert L. of Quincy, Brian B. of Braintree and the late John Lopata. Loving brother of Valerie Voight of FL and the late John and Jean Lopata. Loving cousin of Leona and James Hoey of Canton. Dear friend of Ida, Dom and Chuck. Also survived by 8 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home 785 Hancock St. , WOLLASTON Saturday at 9:00 AM. Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, S. Boston at 10 AM. Visiting hours Friday 4-8 PM. Cremation to follow. Mr. Lopata was a very private man who enjoyed everything to do with trucking and driving. He was a hands on auto tinkerer who had a strong work ethic. He was from the old school and providing for his family was very important. Stanley always worked at least two jobs. For one of those jobs he was known as “Stan the Junk Man” and he drove a big red truck assisting people in any number of household activities. He enjoyed having breakfast with his friends every morning at the Egg & I Restaurant in Quincy. His family describes him as a reliable friend, problem solver and financial counselor. Member of the National Rifle Association, Member of the Polish Club, South Boston andTeamsters Local 25. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Mr. Lopata may be made to the American Lung Assoc. – Norfolk County 25 Spring Street Walpole, MA 02081.
