Solomon Green

Green, Solomon of Randolph, formerly of Quincy, July 29, 2007. Longtime roomate of David and Tom. Best friend of Beth Filipe. Also survived by the caring staff at Human Service Options and Harbor Industries. Friends are respectfully invited to attend the Graveside Service in Central Cemetery, 327 North Street, Randolph on Wednesday August 1 at 2:30 PM. Solomon Green died early Sunday morning July 29th at Quincy Medical Center after a long illness. Solomon spent his early years at Wrentham State School. He then moved into Human Service Options’ residences in Randolph and Quincy. He worked at the South Shore Mental Health Center Day Habilitation Program in Squantum and more recently at South Shore Assoc. for Retarded Citizens in Weymouth. Sol was much loved by all of his friends and was known for his love of music and sense of fun. He enjoyed attending concerts, dances and parties. He participated in many vacations and camping trips with friends in Plymouth, MA, Cape Cod, and in NH during which he enjoyed campfires and boating. Over the years, Sol’s large network of friends became his extended family. He looked forward to holidays and enjoyed participating in all the festivities associated with Halloween, Thanksgiving and christmas. Each of us fortunate enough to have known Sol, enjoyed a genuinely sincere friendship. He taught us that spontaneity and inhibition could be fun.
