Sigmund Dymek

Dymek, Sigmund of Weymouth, died December 11, 2022.

Sigmund was an outgoing man that was kind and generous in his nature. He was someone that made friends anywhere he went. Sigmund was always seen with his camera, always snapping pictures of picturesque scenes or sometimes, even complete strangers. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Born in Germany during WW II, he was raised in Poland and immigrated to the US when he was 19 years old.  He first lived in New York, then traveled around the US, before settling in Boston.  He worked as a maintenance mechanic at the New England Baptist Hospital for over 30 years, until his retirement. He was always up for an adventure and enjoyed living life to the fullest.

He was predeceased by his mother, Leokadia Dymek (Kaczmarek).

Loving husband to Irene Dymek (Saraczynski) of Weymouth for 52 years. Cherished father to James Dymek and his wife Pamela of Wrentham, Susan Dymek of Kingston and Mark Dymek of Weymouth.

Beloved grandfather of Andrew Dymek and his wife Danielle Cincotta of Plymouth, the late Robert Dymek of Kingston, and great-grandfather of Emma Dymek, Mia Dymek and Ayvren Dymek of Plymouth.

Dear brother of the late Magda Odachowski (Dymek) and her husband Vincent of Braintree and uncle to Richard Odachowski of Braintree.

Also survived by extended family, including many cousins in Poland.

There will be no public services at this time.
