Shirley J. Haynes (Bales) of Weymouth, died February 1, 2018 at the age of 82.

Shirley was born to the late Nellie and James H. Bales in Missouri. She was the last of her 8 brothers and sisters, including her late brother Leslie Bales and his wife Nora; and their two sons Jimmy and his wife Charlas and Dickie and his wife Princess. Shirley enjoyed arts and crafts and quilting. In her younger days, she enjoyed dancing and bowling with her husband. She also cherished family vacations in the lakes region of New Hampshire.

She was the wife of the late John E. Haynes, Sr. Loving mother of John E. Haynes, Jr.  of Weymouth and Rodney Haynes and wife Beth of Plymouth. Devoted “Grandma” to Kaleigh and Matthew Haynes.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-7 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Funeral service will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:30 AM in the funeral home. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy. Donations in memory of Shirley may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
