Sherie A. (Loconte) Harris

Mrs. Sherie A. (LoConte) Harris, of Weymouth, passed away surrounded by her loving family on July 19, 2021 after a short but courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was 64.

Sherie was the VP of Bank of Boston for many years. After her children were born, she worked from home as a legal transcriptionist to spend more time with her family. Family was of the utmost importance to Sherie. She enjoyed camping, where she met the love of her life, Jimmy. In later years, she loved travelling with her family and spending time with them. She was also an avid sports fan: whether it was attending Celtics or Bruins games, or just the youth football and hockey games of her children and beloved nieces and nephews, she was always the loudest cheerleader.

Punctuality was never a strong point of Sherie’s, but once she arrived, she was immediately the life of the party, and she was always the last to leave after the longest of goodbyes. Always the one with the biggest smile and heart, with the loudest laugh, her personality shined bright no matter where she was.

Sherie was a devout member of the First Baptist Church in Weymouth. She found her faith after losing her mom Faye, and found solace and comfort among the church members, whom she considered a second family. She was very involved in the church, teaching Sunday School, organizing Vacation Bible School and attending many bible study groups throughout the week.

Beloved wife of James Harris.

Loving mother of Amanda Harris of Weymouth and Anthony Harris of Abington. Sister of Victoria Gambino and her husband, Dean, of Weymouth and the late Frank LoConte. Daughter of the late Faye (Butts) Balcom. Aunt of Kristin Grenier and her husband, Scott, of Plymouth, Michael Gambino of Cambridge, Nicholas Gambino of Holbrook and Keryn Gambino of Stoughton. Sherie is also survived by her cherished family pets: Blake, Roger and Weasley, who she loved dearly.

Funeral services will be celebrated on Saturday July 31st, at 11AM in First Baptist Church, 40 West Street, Weymouth.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, 1500 Rosecrans Avenue, Suite 200, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266.
