Shelley C. Willson

WILLSON, Shelley Christine, 47, of Weymouth, Ma., passed away on April 1, 2017. She was the beloved daughter of Diane (Walsh) and Thomas Willson of Hingham, Ma., sister of James Willson, aunt of Megan and Emma Willson and sister-in-law of Diana Cooper Willson, all of Steamboat Springs, Co., as well as a long list of loving aunts, uncles and cousins across the country.

Shelley grew up in Philadelphia, graduated from the Baldwin School in Bryn Mawr, and received a BA in History from the University of Pennsylvania and Masters Degree in British History from the University of Rochester. She worked for Liberty Mutual Insurance Company in Boston as the Personal Market Manager of Business Continuity Planning and Safety.

Shelley loved the color red, was a voracious reader, and combined her love of books and history as a Jane Austin fan. When she wasn’t reading, she loved doing needlework and was a member of the Mayflower Sampler Guild of Duxbury. She loved movies, hunting for antiques and traveling with her family to Colorado, the Virgin Islands, Arizona and Canandaigua Lake in New York. She was especially close to her brother Jay and his daughters, Megan and Emma, as well as her two cats, Maddy and Lilly. She was kind and compassionate, lit up the room with her dimples and smile, and she never lost her positive outlook on life. She will be very deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
