Sheila Davis Way of Naples, Florida formally of Hingham, MA passed away on August 5, 2024, surrounded by her family. Sheila was born in 1936 to parents Charles and Frances Davis of South Boston where she was raised. In 1956 Sheila married Robert P. Way and together they moved to Hingham where they raise their four children.
Sheila was preceded in death by her husband Robert P. Way, son Russell Davis Way and her brother Jerry Davis. Sheila is survived by her two daughters Robin Wilcox of Weymouth, Rhonda W Lacroix and son-in-law Richard F Lacroix of Edgartown, son Robert P. Way Jr. and daughter-in-law Jennifer Way of Scituate and daughter-in-law Marcia Way of Hull. Sheila was also known as “Narn” to her ten grandchildren Josh and Katie Wilcox of Weymouth, Colby and Beth Wilcox of Hanover, Christopher and Jennifer, Wilcox of Weymouth, Leland and Katie Wilcox of Weymouth, Catie and Scott Gorman of Scituate, Alex Way of Quincy, Matt Way of Scituate, Stephen Way of Cambridge, Russell and Amanda Way of Hull. Sheila also had ten great grandchildren Alyssa, Colin and Cameron Wilcox, Reagan and Avery Wilcox, CJ and Olivia Wilcox, William Wilcox, Brennick Way and Casey Gorman. She is also survived by her four nieces.
Sheila was a substitute teacher who taught in Hingham public schools for many years. She earned her psychology degree at age 50 from UMass Boston. She worked at the Hingham courthouse along with running the family business alongside her husband Bob and her son Russell. Sheila was a member of the Mahjong Mavens, Hingham Ladies Club, Red Hat Society and the Dirty Dozen. She enjoyed tennis, golf and loved the game of Pickleball. She enjoyed summers on Hingham Bay and winters on Naples Bay for many years. Sheila enjoyed many trips with her family and her close friends over the years. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and a good book. Sheila will be dearly missed by all. There will be a graveside service with a celebration of life to be announced at a later date.
