Edmund F. Sheehy, Jr.

Sheehy, Edmund Francis, Jr., age 93, passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2013, in Plymouth, MA.

He was born in Lynn, grew up in East Weymouth, lived in Abington and, most recently, Plymouth. He graduated from Bentley College and was a WWII Navy veteran. For many years, he was the general manager of Quincy Motor Company.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Rita M. Cullinan Sheehy; his parents, Edmund F. Sheehy, Sr. and Marion L. Coffee Sheehy; his sister, Mary Rose S. Killion, and his brother, Joseph R. Sheehy.  He is survived by his sister, Ruth S. Curley of St. Augustine, FL., and four children; Marie S. Grip (Robert) of Mobile, AL; Edmund V. Sheehy (Su Lin) of Pembroke; Ellen E. Sheehy (Colleen) of Rochester; and Paul F. Sheehy (Lisa) of Kingston. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; Katherine Perkins, Steven Perkins (Tina), Erin Grip Brown (Jeremy), Mary Kate Grip Russell (Brien), John Sheehy, Patrick Sheehy, and David Sheehy; six great-grandchildren, and many loving nieces and nephews, especially Carol Hallisey of Rockland.

Visitation will take place at 10:30 am on Monday, December 2, in St. Mary’s Church, 313 Court St., Plymouth, MA, followed by  a Funeral Mass. at 11 AM.  Burial will follow in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Weymouth.
