Sergeant Charles Todd Caldwell, 38, an employee of the Putnam Investment Corporation in Norwood, died last Monday, during a mission while stationed in Iraq with the 115th Military Police Company.Todd was born in Barnstable, MA and adopted by Charles and Gladys Caldwell five days later. He lived most of his life in Quincy where he attended Quincy Public Schools and graduated from Eastern Nazarene College with a degree in History. He was currently residing in Providence, RI where he was stationed with the National Guard.He married Margaret Yasharian Caldwell of Attleboro, MA on February 4, 2003, the day he was told to report for duty the following morning. His wedding reception was to take place on his return from duty.Charlie, as his military friends knew him, enjoyed swimming, scuba diving, soccer, biking and being in the National Guard. He leaves behind his wife, Margaret of Attleboro; his parents, Charles and Gladys Caldwell of Quincy; a brother, Kipp Caldwell, of Quincy; two sisters, Robin Giovino of AZ and Jill Dean of PA; and eight nieces & nephews.A funeral service is planned for Saturday, September 13, at 10:00 a.m. at the Wollaston Church of the Nazarene, 37 East Elm Ave., Quincy, MA. Please park in the Wollaston MBTA Parking Lot (on the corner of Beale Street and Greenwood Avenue). Shuttle buses will be provided to and from church. If you plan on going to the cemetery, please stay in the lot. The funeral procession will come down Beale Street and you will be able to enter. Visiting hours will be Thursday 3:00-7:00 p.m. and Friday 3:00-7:00 p.m. in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., Quincy, MA. Burial in Mount Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Charles Todd Caldwell Memorial Scholarship Fund at Eastern Nazarene College, 23 East Elm Ave., Quincy, MA 02170.
