Scylena M. Kelly

Kelly, Scylena M. of Quincy, died May 6, 2016.  

Scylena was the most gracious, loving, caring person. A loving sister, aunt, cousin, and great aunt. She loved all of her nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. She was born in Roxbury, MA and was the last surviving member of 6 siblings of the Kelly’s. She went to college and received her bachelors degree. She worked as a secretary for a manufacturing company for over 25 years and had resided in Connecticut. After her retirement, she had moved back to Quincy to be close to her family. There are a lot of friends and family that loved her and will miss her dearly. Scylena adored her animals Peakie and Rascall and loved getting her hair and nails done. She especially loved her hot fudge sundaes. 

Thank you for showing us your love, strength, kindness, and love of family while you were with us on earth. May you rest in peace, your forever loving family. “Until we all meet again, Auntie, may God hold you in the palm of His hand.”

Loving aunt of James MacNeil Sr., Desiree Berry, Scylena MacNeil, John Berry, all of Quincy, and Cheryl Perez of Brockton. Great aunt of Joanne MacNeil, Leo Burns, James MacNeil Jr., Cameron MacNeil, Katherine MacNeil, and Rose Reale. Also survived by many extended family and friends, best friend Marion, and a special thank you to the caring people who helped her towards the end.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 5-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A funeral home service will be celebrated on Thursday at 11 AM.
