Scott M. Linnell

Linnell, Scott M. of Weymouth, died July 5, 2017 after a long battle with addiction.

Scott was born in Quincy, lived in San Diego for a couple years but spent almost all of his life in Weymouth. Scott was a graduate of Weymouth High School, and his love of cooking resulted in his becoming a Chef Manager at Emmanuel College and MIT. He saved at least three Thanksgiving turkeys from being woefully undercooked.  Scott enjoyed all sports but football and the Patriots were his true passion.  He loved going to Pats games with his dad and nephew Quinn.  He was forced to partake in countless backyard football games with this nephews and niece, and he never let them win.

Beloved son of John “Jack” F. Linnell of Weymouth and the late Louise H. (Murphy) Linnell. Cherished brother of Meredith Murphy and her husband Corey of Norton. Treasured uncle of Quinn, Gabrielle and Nathan. Loving nephew of Robert M. Linnell, Diane Thomas and Maryanne Baker.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off Route 3A – Bicknell Square). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:30 AM on Saturday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Jerome Church, Weymouth at 10:30 AM.
