Scott F. Abate

Abate, Scott F. of Middleboro, formerly of Plymouth and Quincy, died unexpectedly on August 28, 2016.  Loving father of Allison, Samantha and Christopher Abate all of Plymouth. Son of the late Robert and Priscilla (Joyce) Abate. Brother of Robert Abate of CA, Susan Wilson and her husband Richard of Quincy, Mark Abate and his wife Ellen of CA, and Christopher Abate and his wife Jennifer of Stoughton. Former husband of Deirdre McCarthy of Plymouth. Scott is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Scott is remembered fondly for his sense of humor, his warm heart and his zest for life. He was a rule breaker, the life of the party, and he brought a laugh to anyone who crossed his path. He enjoyed fast cars, fishing, music and the memories he shared with his family and friends.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 5-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:45 AM on Wednesday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Quincy at 10:30 AM. Burial will be private.
