Sarah A. “Sally” Keane

Sarah A. “Sally” Keane, of Quincy, died December 16, 2018.

The beloved daughter of the late Peter and Sarah (Faherty) Keane.

Sally lived in Quincy most of her life. She graduated from North Quincy High School  Class of 1957 and went on to attend Catherine Laboure School of Nursing  graduating in 1960. She furthered her education earning her Bachelors Degree from Boston College in 1966. As a registered nurse, her career was divided in three equal parts. She began her career  at Boston City Hospital as a Medical/Surgical Nurse. She moved on with her career and began working as a visiting nurse and finished out her nursing career working at Mass Mental Health Center in child psychiatry. Nursing was a very important part of Sally’s entire life. She served as a Captain in the United States Air Force Reserves from 1963 until 1970. In her retirement, she enjoyed following her interest in history, especially the Civil War. She continued her lifelong passion of reading and books. Sally was active in the Paulist Center Community for many years and worked on HEC retreats. She leaves many cousins and dear friends.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visitation on Saturday December 29 from 8:30-9:30 AM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday in Sacred Heart Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, West Roxbury.
