Sarah Marie (Gates) Lamanna

Sarah Marie (Gates) LaManna, of Quincy, formerly of New York, died suddenly at her home on Thursday, April 20, 2023. She was 41.

Sarah was a Certified Veterinarian Technician (CVT) who was passionate about the care of animals — great or small, she loved them all.  After moving to Boston, she discovered a passion for whales and whale watching.  She enjoyed sharing the experience when friends came to visit and seeing everyone’s awe at their sightings, but for her it went much deeper than that, it was spiritual.

Sarah leaves behind loving parents, Roxanne M and James G. Brooker, Great Uncle Lawrence D. Austin AKA “Buddy”, Grandmother Margaret Brooker, Uncle Robert Brooker (Heidi), cousins Alexander and William Brooker. Her beloved pets Murphy, Triscuit, Mango, Smudge, Roger, and Declan will be at home with their grandparents in Rochester.

Sarah touched the hearts of many, especially lifelong friends Nathan Ratcliffe, Patrick Carr, Michael Raro, Keith R. Williams, Christopher Stanley, Kathy Esch and their children Ally and Andy, Kristie Rose, Amanda Bolton, Jaime Davidson Young and son Tucker.
