Santo A. “Tony” Bonanno

Bonanno, Santo A. “Tony” of Hull October 27, 2008. Beloved husband of Rose (Coccimiglio) Bonanno of Hull. Loving father of Anna (Bonanno)Lucia and John Bonanno both of Hull, Richard Bonanno of Scituate, Marianne Bonanno of Plymouth and the late Rosemarie Mecurio. Also survived by 14 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Tony came to the US at the age of 14 from Italy. He worked in Cambridge as a barber from age 16 to 22. During WWII Tony worked for the Quincy Shipyard. He opened his own barber shop in Hull in 1945 where he worked until he retired in 1986. After his retirement he wintered in Florida for 22 years. Tony loved to garden but mostly he loved his family. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Life Celebration Service in Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St., Hingham, Friday at 9:15 AM. Funeral Mass in St. Mary of the Assumption Parish in St. Ann’s Church, Hull at 10:00 AM. Visiting hours Thursday 4- 8 PM. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Tony may be made to the Sons of Italy Lodge 1851, Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 15, Hingham, MA. 02043.
