Sandra L. “Sandy” (Colby) Arnold

Sandra L. “Sandy” (Colby) Arnold of Conway, South Carolina, formerly of Whitman, passed away after a brief illness at the age of 75 on March 1, 2021.

Sandy was a Legal Secretary for over 25 years for WilmerHale in Boston. She was a fantastic cook and would often make delicious roast beef dinners with popovers for her family. She also enjoyed baking and spending time during the holidays baking breads, cakes and cookies, anisette being the favorite, with her granddaughter. The bigger the mess they made, the more fun they had. Sandy loved cruising and looked forward to taking an annual cruise with her family and close friends.

When she moved to South Carolina, she would talk about having “porch parties,” where she and her friends would hang out on her porch, enjoy a glass of wine, play cards or LCR, sing along to the music and have some laughs. Sandy was always good for having a funny story to tell. Sandy enjoyed gardening and decorated her landscaping with an abundance of colorful plants and flowers. She will be deeply missed by all those that knew and loved her.

Loving mother of William Arnold and his wife, Lisa of Abington. Grandmother of Cameron and Gabrielle Arnold. Daughter of the late Joseph and Ethel (Dewar) Colby, Sister of Judy Sullivan and her husband, Harold, of Weymouth, Betty Coleman and her significant other, Dan Sullivan, of Weymouth, and the late Bill Newell and Joey Colby. Longtime companion of the late Bill Chamberlain. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday, March 21st, from 1-4 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. South Shore Hospital).

A private burial service will be held on Monday, March 22nd.
