Sandra E. Sacco

Sacco, Sandra E. (Goward), age 63, of Quincy, a retired employee of State Street Bank, died March 17, 2006 at home following a long illness. Beloved wife of Frank J. Sacco. Loving mother of Erica Keenan of North Quincy and Scott Sacco of Norwood. Sister of Robert Goward of Bow, NH. Mother in law of James Keenan and Carolyn Ryan. Grandmother of Olivia & Lindsey Keenan and Christopher & Allison Ryan. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral service in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON, Wednesday at 10:30 AM. Visiting hours Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 PM. A private burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy will be at a later date. Mrs. Sacco had a 40 year career in banking and finance. Early in her career she worked for New England Merchant National Bank in Boston and South Shore Bank in Quincy. She later held management positions in the Securities Processing Unit at State Street Bank, where she worked for 19 years before retiring in 2003. Born and raised in Quincy, Mrs. Sacco lived in Hanson for ten years. In 1980, she returned to her family’s home in Wollaston where three generations have resided for more than 85 years. Mrs. Sacco enjoyed New England and spent her vacations on the coast of Maine, in Vermont, and on Cape Cod and the islands. She had a wide range of interests and hobbies. An avid reader of historical and political novels, she enjoyed planting and tending to the gardens surrounding her family’s home. She also loved arts and crafts and was an experienced seamstress and cook who enjoyed preparing Italian meals for her family. Mrs. Sacco graduated from North Quincy High School and attended Quincy Junior College.
