Trubia, Salvatore J. “Sal” of Hull, died on Tuesday, July 20, 2010. He was 80. The beloved husband of 56 years to Elizabeth “Betty” ( Anderson) Trubia of Hull. Loving father of Michael L. and his wife Eileen Trubia of Tolland, CT, James E. and his wife Jo-Anne of Hull, John R. Trubia of Weymouth and Lawrence D. “Larry” Trubia of Hull. Brother of Mary Rymaszewski of Hull and Leonard Trubia of Rhode Island. Brother in law of Grace Anderson of Hull. Sal was the devoted Grandpa of 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. A lifelong resident of Hull, Sal graduated from Hingham High School Class of 1948, he served in the United States Navy Reserves during the Korean War. In years past, Sal was a Little League Coach. He worked for Eastern Edison as an electrical lineman for many years before retiring back in 1992. Sal loved Hull and enjoyed being around the ocean, you could find him on Nantasket Beach with his metal detector for hours at a time. He also enjoyed baseball, ice hockey and his computer. One of his favorite past times he enjoyed was attending “Dunkin Donuts University” located at 1 Bay St. Hull with his dedicated “classmates”. But, his true love was his family! Sal found great pleasure cooking his italian food for the Sunday family meal which he always looked forward to. He will be remembered as a devoted husband , a loving father, a cherished grandfather, a hard worker and an honest and generous man who adored his family. He will be sadly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing him. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 2-6 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15AM on Monday, prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Mary of the Assumption Parish in St. Ann’s Church at 10 AM. Burial in Hull Village Cemetery, Hull.
