Salvatore J. Manganaro

Mr. Salvatore J. Manganaro, of Quincy, formerly of Somerville, passed away on March 1, 2017. 

Sal worked for many years until his retiremnet for Turner Fisharies. He loved animals, was an avid Boston sports fan, and was just a all around good guy. He will be dearly missed by all those who knew him. Sal was a Past Commander and a 50 year member of the Thomas J. Roberts American Legion Post # 78 in Hyde Park, and also a Korean War Veteran serving in the United States Army. He was 88.

Beloved father of Michael  Manganaro and his wife, Carol, of Quincy, Skippy Manganaro and his wife, Claire, of Halifax, Rick Manganaro and his wife, Caroline, of Quincy, Mark Manganaro and his wife, Kathy, of N. Attleboro, John Manganaro of Quincy, Rachelle Manganaro of Pembroke, NH, and Kristen Manganaro of Marlborough. Brother of the late Concetta, Guy, Sara, Lena, and John. Former husband of the late Rose M. (Cogliano) Manganaro. Also survived by 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 2-6 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Monday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Quincy at 10 AM.

Burial in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne on  Monday at 12:45pm.
