Gulizia, Salvatore of Quincy, died peacefully on December 20, 2013, surrounded by his family, he was 96.
The beloved husband of the late Olga (Maraccini) Gulizia. Devoted father of Diane Quinn Vasseur and husband Ronald and Butch Gulizia and his wife Dona Nightingale all of Quincy, Maureen Appel and her husband Robert of Port St. Lucy, FL, Maria Gulizia of Revere and Michael Gulizia and his wife Sandi of Nashua, NH. Cherished grandfather of 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Brother of John Gulizia of Wollaston and the late Louis Gulizia, Mary Sous and Josephine Motroni.
A proud W.W.II Navy veteran, Sal worked at General Dynamics and later at Clarks Sportswear for many years. He was an avid sports fan, especially his beloved Red Sox. The foundation of his life was his family, he was devoted to them and in return they cherished him. He will be sadly missed by all those who were blessed to have known him. May he rest in peace.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in Holy Trinity Parish in Most Blessed Sacrament Church, Quincy at 10am. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy.
Donations in memory of Sal may be made to Hancock Park Nursing Facility – Patient Activites, 164 Parking Way, Quincy, MA 02169.
