Salvatore F. “Sal” Donofrio

Donofrio, Salvatore F “Sal” of Quincy, died October 9, 2015.

Beloved husband for 62 years of Gelsomina Donofrio of Quincy. Loving father of Ralph Donofrio and his wife Mary Jo of South Weymouth and Nancy Donofrio-Wagner and her husband Robert of Braintree.  Cherished grandfather of Christina (Tina),Danielle (Belle) Donofrio of South Weymouth and Kyle Wagner of Weymouth. Son of the late Raffaele and Josephine (Serino) Donofrio.  Brother of Eleanor Robertson, the late Mary Hughes, Jenny Sexton, Joseph Donofrio and Michael Donofrio.  Loving uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Salvatore was born, raised and educated in Boston.  He and his late wife lived in Quincy for 54 years where they raised their family. Sal worked for the Boston Edison Company for 44 years until his retirement.  He was highly recognized at Boston Edison for his outstanding and dedicated service to the company as a senior cable splicer and proudly produced a video on safety measures for employees to follow while performing their job when providing electricity to buildings in the City of Boston and other surrounding towns.  Sal’s passion was his family, they were truly the cornerstone of his life. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure to have known him. Sal was a proud W.W.II United States Army Veteran.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St, Quincy, MA. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Thursday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Mt. Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy.
