DeFranc, Salvatore of Quincy, April 11, 2004. The beloved husband of 50 years to the late Mary L. ( Dalton) DeFranc. Loving Father of Donna L. Wilkins of Phillipston, MA and Cathy Weikel of Weymouth. Devoted Grandfather of John & Cassandra Wilkins and Shawn, Alissa and Mark Weikel. Brother of Maryann Hughes of Foxboro and the late James DeFranc. Salvatore is also survived by 2 nieces and 2 nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Funeral Service in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St. , WOLLASTON Thursday at 11am. Visiting Hours Wednesday 3-7 PM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy. Salvatore was born in Boston and lived in Randolph before moving to Quincy ,where he has lived for the past 35 years. Salvatore was married to the late Mary L. (Dalton) DeFranc ( who died 17 days ago on March 24, 2004 )- for 50 years. Salvatore was a longtime employee for Beal & Company a real estate development company located on Milk St. in Boston for more than 30 years. He worked as the manager of building services and retired back in Feb of 1993. He enjoyed his retirement doing the activites he loved, gardening, taking care of his yard, he enjoyed the outdoors. He was devoted to his grandchildren and his family. He was a avid Red Sox fan as well as a devoted New England Patriots Fan. Both he and his late wife were very active in the Knights of Columbus – Dorchester Lower Mills, together they volunteered running the meat raffles, bingos and their dance classes for many years. Donations in memory of Mr. DeFranc may be made to Norwell Visiting Nurses Assoc. 320 Washington Street Suite 10 Norwell, MA 02061.
