Sally M. (Faiella Spadorcia) Saluti, died peacefully at home in the loving arms of her beloved daughters on Sunday, May 30, 2021.
Born May 9, 1923 to the late Mary M. (LoDico) & Americo C. Faiella of Quincy, MA. Sally grew up and lived much of her life in her childhood home on South Walnut Street in Quincy. She was proud and honored to share stories about her family’s Italian heritage. Describing the immense love she had for her family, both past and present was bountiful. Her most prized accomplishment was raising her daughters. Elizabeth and Paula were at the center of her world each and every day. Sally worked as a crossing guard, known lovingly as Miss Sally at Massfield School in Wollaston, MA when her children were young, and finished out her working career as a Payroll Clerk at The South Postal Annex Boston, MA.
Celebrating Sally’s 98th Birthday this past May was a special reminder that life is precious and valuable. Sally lived fruitfully knowing her family was beside her throughout her amazing life. Baking, bowling, reading, word puzzles, playing go fish, watching the Wheel and sharing her views on world events are some of Sally’s pastimes. She had a kind, yet stern knowledgeable way to teach life lessons and offer advice. Visiting with family over a cup of coffee (rocket fuel) and fresh baked Italian biscotti was Sally’s ideal start to the day. Her passions were writing poetry and song which she shared lovingly with her family. Singing “Good Moring to You!” or “When You’re Driving” to name a few. Sally was “The Great Oak” Strong & Tall… she was a Queen!
Sally is predeceased by her late husband, the love of her life; Albert P. Spadorcia, her second husband John Saluti and longtime partner Chester E. Bakaur. Survived by her cherished and devoted daughters Elizabeth M. (Spadorcia) Marini of South Weymouth, MA and Paula F. (Spadorcia) and her husband Umberto Cristina who was a loving son in law of Whitman, MA. Devoted Grandmother (Grambo) to Jessica Cristina and James Murphy, Laura and Lamarr Lee, Alicia and Wayne Miller, Andrea and Eric Finn, Daniel II and Jill Marini, Paul and Stephanie Cristina and Aimee and Eric Dowd, Her Great Grandchildren: Jarrod, Haley, Brittney, Myah, Nina, Autumn, Paul Jr., Lamarr Jr., Reese, River, Leland, Adriana, Logan, James Jr., Daniel III and Great Great granddaughter Audrey Beth.
