Ruth T. Deldotto

DelDotto, Ruth T. (Nortwich) of Quincy, formerly of S. Boston, passed away October 25, 2011. Beloved wife of the late Robert J. DelDotto. Loving mother of Sandra L. Camardo of Weymouth, Susan J. DelDotto of Boston, and Stacy R. Connell and her husband Francis of Braintree. Sister of Marion Fitzsimmons of Weymouth. Cherished “Nana” to Samantha and Matthew Connell and Robert and Jeffrey Camardo. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Ruth’s family was the focus of her life. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She grew up in South Boston and worked at Stride Rite for 20 years retiring in 1960. The family spent many days at Merrymount Beach and the grandchildren enjoyed lunches with Nana every Thursday. Ruth enjoyed knitting, reading, word puzzles and painting. She will be remembered for her generosity, selfless nature, and always going above and beyond that which was expected of her. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 8:15 AM on Saturday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 9 AM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Ruth may be made to Norwell Visiting Nurse Association, 120 Longwater Drive, Norwell, MA 02061 or to a charity of your choice.
