Ruth P. (Cody) Clark, of Quincy, returned to the Lord, October 11, 2018 at 104 years old.
She was lovingly cared for by family at her granddaughter’s home in Cave Creek, Arizona. In her early years she worked at Phillips Candy House and went on to have a career with the Patriot Ledger as a proofreader. She enjoyed traveling all over, especially to visit family in the winter months. She will be remembered for her zest for life, love of reading, impeccable fashion, and flirty personality.
Dear wife of the late George W. Clark. Devoted mother of Nancy Rouse of FL, George W. Clark, Jr. and his wife Patricia of Weymouth, Ellen Etzel and her husband Barney of AZ, and the late Roger Clark. Loving sister of the late Edward Cody. Cherished GG of 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Also survived by many cousins and friends.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital).
Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9 AM on Saturday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Francis Xavier Church, Weymouth at 10 AM.
Burial in Mt. Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy will be at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Ruth and in honor of PFC Edward Cody, may be made to Boston Floating Hospital for Children at Tufts Medical Center, Development Office, 800 Washington Street, #231, Boston, MA 02111.
