Ruth M. Thiessen

Thiessen, Ruth M. (Kelly) of Weymouth, died June 20, 2019.  

Beloved wife of 55 years to Gary Thiessen of Weymouth.  Loving mother of  Patricia Catania and her husband Jay of Weymouth, Kathleen Sullivan and her husband Brian of Whitman and Gary Thiessen, Jr. and his wife Donna of Virginia.  Devoted Nini of Jonathan and Thomas Sullivan, Jacob Thiessen and Andrew Catania.  Cherished sister of Barbara Dwyer of Weymouth and the late Joseph Kelly and Kay Smart. Caring sister -in -law of Dave Smart of Weymouth.  Also survived by many other extended family and dear friends. 

Ruth worked as a Registered Nurse for 25 years at the Quincy City Hospital.  She was an avid Boston Sports Fan and enjoyed watching every game.  Her main passion in life was her family, especially her grandsons, whom she never missed a sporting event or activity for.  Ruth will be remembered for her loving, caring and devoted personality.  She will be sadly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing her.  

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Funeral Mass in St. Francis Xavier Church, Weymouth at 10 AM on Tuesday, June 25, 2019. Burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Weymouth.
