Mitchell, Ruth M. of Quincy, died February 15, 2015. 

Ruth graduated Dorchester High School in 1940. She was a civil servant for the US Customs for many years. She enjoyed bowling, socializing and spending her free time at her cottage on the Cape. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Daughter of the late Henry J. and Margaret (Kelly) Mitchell. Sister of the late William H. Mitchell and his wife Gail and John F. Mitchell and his wife Muriel. Loving aunt of Dr. William Mitchell and his wife Linda of Maui, Beverly Pirtle and her husband Paul of New Mexico, and Brett Mitchell and his wife Regina of Maine. Also survived by special friends Eleanor Cummings and Ann Kelly.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:30 AM Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Quincy at 10:30 AM. Burial in New Calvary Cemetery, Boston.
