Ruth M. Johnson

Johnson, Ruth M. (Smith) of Braintree, passed away January 8, 2013. Beloved wife of the late Lyod R. Johnson, Sr. Loving mother of Rodney Rock of Fairhaven, Kimberly Rock of New Bedford, Darlene Rock of New Bedford, Jason Gomes of Braintree and Loyd Johnson of Braintree. Sister of Kathleen Costa of Fall River. Cherished grandmother of 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Ruth worked for Universal Roofing in New Bedford as a payroll clerk for 8 years. She was president of Braintree Tenants Association were she helped to ensure that children and tenants had the help and resources they needed. She enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, loving her family and passing on family values. She will be missed by all who had the pleasure to have known her.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Saturday 1:00PM-3:30PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY, followed by a service at 3:30PM in the funeral home. Cremation will follow.
