Ruth M. Cheney

Cheney, Ruth M. of Quincy, formerly Dorchester, passed away September 6, 2018.  

Ruth was born in Boston January 11, 1927. She was raised in Dorchester and graduated from Dorchester High School for Girls in 1944 before moving to Quincy. Ruth was a big Red Sox and Patriots fan. She loved to travel and did so all over the U.S. and Europe. She loved to be by the water, bowling, dancing, and having fun with her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. 

She was predeceased by her husband of 55 years Charles Cheney and her son Richard Cheney. She is survived by her daughter Carolee Cheney, her sons Robert and his wife Adrienne, David, Alan and his wife Brendah, William and his partner Nichole, daughter in law Kathleen Cheney. Also survived by her grandchildren Bryan, Ryan, Kendra, Cassandra, Charles, Finola, Olivia, and AJ, sister Carolyn and her husband John Dean of Corpus Christi, TX, two nieces Kathy Dean and Kristin Gavit, and nephew Kevin Dean, all of TX. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. Funeral service will be celebrated on Monday at 12:30 PM in Keohane Funeral Home. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
