Ruth K. Callahan

Callahan, Ruth K. (Pero) of East Boston, Mass (also lived in Braintree, Mass from 2009-2015) died January 26, 2016 at age 95. 

The beloved wife of the late (John) Bernard Callahan and loving mother of Sheila Chiaradonna of Yarmouth and Patricia Callahan of Richmond, Ruth is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

She was born and raised in Boston.  She graduated from Jeremiah E. Burke High School and worked as a school secretary for the City of Boston for many years.   Ruth was a proud WW II United States Navy WAVE Veteran.  The cornerstone of her life was her family. They were the foundation of all that was truly important to her. She cherished each of them and they felt the same about her. Ruth will be sadly missed by all those who were fortunate to have known her. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visitation on Friday, February 5 from 8:30-9:30am in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY, followed by the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM.

Burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
