Ruth H. Corcoran

 Ruth H. (Hardy)  Corcoran, a longtime Crow Point – Hingham resident, died surrounded by her family on May 6, 2017, she was 92, The beloved wife of the late Richard “Dick “ Corcoran. Mother of  Maureen Bonner and her husband Joe  of Hingham, Ed Corcoran and his wife Janet of Weymouth, Dan Corcoran and his wife Lisa of Weymouth, Rusty Corcoran and his wife Nancy of Hanover, Tommy Corcoran and his wife Ann of Weymouth,  Peggy McLaughlin and her husband Kevin  of Weymouth.  “MA” or “Mazo” to Kellie, TJ, Karen, Kim, Adam, Amy, Blair, Brian, Jill, Melissa, Sarah, Connor, Erin, Colleen and Meghan, she is also survived by 11 great grandchildren. 

Ruth was born in Dorchester, spent several years in Roslindale before moving to Hingham back in 1963.  She worked for the New England Telephone Company  and  later for Blue Cross/Blue Shield as a claims adjuster.  Ruth was an active member of Crow Point Sailing Club. She loved to play Bridge  at the Hingham Senior Center as well as South Shore Country Club. She also enjoyed painting, boating and spending her winters in Florida.  Ruth’s favorite past time was spending time with her family.  She will be remembered as a devoted wife, a cherished mother and a loving grandmother. Ruth will be sadly missed by everyone who knew her. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 8:30-10:30 AM in the  Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St,  (Off Central St.) Hingham.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at Monday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Paul’s Church, Hingham at Monday at 11am.

Burial in St. Paul’s Cemetery.
