Boudreau, Russell J. ‘Buddy’ of Quincy, passed away May 16, 2011. Beloved husband of 42 years to Diana M. Boudreau of Quincy. Loving father to Russell P. Boudreau of Quincy, Christopher M. Boudreau and his wife, Rosanna of Easton, Ronald M. Boudreau and his wife Claire, of Braintree. Also survived by his adored grandchildren, Cristina and Nicholas. Brother of Kevin Boudreau of Plymouth, Jean Boudreau of Carver, Paul Boudreau of Gold Canyon, Arizona, Barbara Pugliese of Stuart, Florida and the late Karen Boudreau. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Buddy was born in Cambridge and had lived in Quincy for the past 38 years. Buddy began his career as a Tool and Die Maker for American Stamping Company in Sharon where he was employed for sixteen years and then went on to work for seven years at MIT and until his retirement worked as a machinest at Boston University. He was most proud of being able to fabricate technical apparatus for land and space based telescopes. in his spare time, he enjoyed going to the shooting range, loved his police radio, travelling, trips to Castle Island, and was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan. He was also a member of the Braintree Rifle and Pistol Club, and always took much pleasure being around his family and grandchildren. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association, 460 Totten Pond Road, # 400, Waltham, MA 02451
