Roy J. Burchsted

Roy J. Burchsted, of Brockton, formerly of North Weymouth, died November 2, 2015. Roy proudly served in the US Navy aboard the USS Harwood. He worked as a printer for Store Service Press for 35 years, retiring in 2004. Roy was an avid golfer and also enjoyed gardening. He took great pride in his home and yard. He will be sadly missed. 

Beloved husband of 52 years to Adelaide (McDonald) Burchsted of Brockton. Devoted father of Roy J. Burchsted, Jr. and his wife Margaret. Cherished “Papa” of Daniel and Emily Burchsted. Loving brother of Janet Gilhooly of Wilmington, Joyce Burchsted of Dennis and Russell Burchsted of Wilmington. Brother-in-law of Jeanette Abruzzese of Braintree. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.  

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off RT.3A-Bicknell Sq.)  Funeral service will be celebrated in the funeral home on Friday at 10:30 AM.

Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
